| Job Description | This is an opportunity to work within newly formed group within JPMorgan Chase that is passionate about software development with cutting edge technology. You will be placed in a bright and collaborative team to help produce industry leading Treasury Services software. Responsibility: - Work directly with Technology owner to help shape and implement a cutting edge technology program with critical impact onto our business - Contribute to the technical code and design documentation. - Understand/apply reusable code design, leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality, and design/develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels. - Conduct code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested. - Take full ownership of code quality through automated unit testing - Help to spread the use of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM within the enterprise. Qualifications - Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience required - Progressive experience in computing, development, architecture and/or client/server application integration and implementation - Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills - Strong system analytic ability and practice - Proven ability as a team member or small team leader to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff - Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment - Expert in analyzing high level business requirements and developing world class enterprise solutions - Strong analytical ability as it relates to system design - The ability to see how individual components fit into the system as a whole - The ability to articulate concepts being learned and solutions to problems being solved. - Exposure to the user experience of multi-touch mobile applications and devices - Experience working with distributed teams across geographical regions - Experience with agile development processes, specifically SCRUM Mandatory experience: - Core Java, JDK 1.5/1.6 - Core Spring - Excellent knowledge of UNIX/Linux - Mature coding, testing and debugging skills - Proven experience in automated unit testing (JUnit, EasyMock etc) - Proven experience deploying/packaging Java applications to JEE containers (Tomcat or Weblogic etc.) - Familiarity with structured and unstructured raw data formats, including XML - Messaging – JMS APIs, WebSphere MQ (preferred), SonicMQ, Tibco - Development tools (Maven, Ant, Hudson, Jira, Eclipse) - Subversion source control - Extensive experience with successful implementations of highly scalable and highly available systems in a multi-tier environment - Curiosity and a desire to learn Preferred Skills: - Spring Batch, Spring Integration - Enterprise Service Bus Technology: Mule (preferred) - SQL: database experience (Oracle preferred) - Exposure to ELT tools and data warehousing - Rules Engine Technology: Drools (preferred), iLog, Blaze - Business Process Management: jPBM (preferred) |
