Job Description | VMware is seeking a skilled Product Marketing Manager with a background in infrastructure management for its Palo Alto, CA location. This role will be part of VMware’s Cloud Management product business unit and will help drive the success for VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite. Responsibilities: The Sr. Product Marketing Manager role will help drive the following activities: - Develop positioning and messaging that resonates with target markets and target personas - Create core marketing content needed to support field lead go-to-market efforts - Drive cross-functional teams in support of product launches and new product introductions - Cultivate and deliver customer references that can be leveraged across the sales cycle - Develop and deliver sales enablement to VMware field and channel partners - Support pricing and packaging efforts to align pricing and packaging with strategic objectives - Track competitive activities and market developments to support field readiness - Evangelize company and product strengths with prospects at multiple venues - Liaise with product management and technical product marketing to drive innovation and thought leadership Required Skills / Experience: - 3+ years in systems, network or storage monitoring or application performance management; will also consider management consultants from top-tier firms - Experience driving outbound product marketing efforts for a major product line - Excellent communication abilities including strong writing and presentation skills - Strong analytic skills - Proven ability to tackle challenging projects with limited timelines and bring to successful completion - Experience leveraging social media as part of the marketing portfolio - Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute on business objectives - Strong leadership as well as teamwork and inter-personal skills - Ability to multitask, change priorities rapidly and work under pressure - MBA preferred |
